JanAstner.com Rules For Art Delivery

At the Buyer’s request we take care of  delivery of works purchased at JanAstner.com at  The prices of works displayed on the JanAstner.com website do not include shipping costs. They are added during the purchase process and depend on the destination and size of the work. The Collector is informed about the shipping costs before the finalization of the purchase.

An invoice containing data provided by the Collector is added to the purchased artwork. 

Customs duty

If your work is being sent abroad, you are also responsible for paying all applicable international customs duties. All customs fees are covered by the Collector. Customs fees depend on the location of the country from which the work is sent and the country to which it is sent. For more information on applicable fees, please contact the customs office of relevant countries.

Confirmation of originality of the work

Most of the works bear the Artists’ signature. However the placing of a signature on an original work of art depends entirely on the Artist. Therefore, we are always attaching to artwork bought at JanAstner.com a certificate of authenticity signed by the Artist and containing a detailed description of the purchased work.

Shipment processing time

Original works of art usually reach Collectors within fourteen (14) business days from ordering, but the delivery time varies depending on the country of dispatch and the destination country. In some countries, the customs clearance process takes longer. Therefore, for more detailed information refer to the concerned government’s policy regarding international shipments. The delivery may also be delayed for the following reasons: inclement weather conditions, natural disasters or other unforeseen circumstances.

Seven days return policy 

JanAstner.com makes every effort to ensure Art Collectors’ 100% satisfaction. Therefore, after receiving the purchased artwork, you have seven (7) days to decide whether you want to keep it or return it and get a refund. You must return the artwork within three (3) days from the day on which you informed us of your desire to return it. Never send work back before contacting us.

You can only return the artwork in its original condition and in a secure packaging. We recommend returning works in the original packaging in which they were sent by JanAstner.com. There will be no refund for a damaged artwork.

If you do not notify us of your intention to return the work within 7 days of receiving it or you do not send it back within 3 days of notifying us, you will not be entitled to a refund.

Step 1 – Within seven (7) days from the date of delivery, send an email to art[at]JanAstner.com containing the order information and reason for returning the work.

Work return procedure

Step 2 – Within the next three (3) days after sending the message, pack the work using the original packaging and send it to the JanAstner.com address. If you cannot use the original packaging, you are responsible for providing appropriate packaging materials to safely send the artwork back to JanAstner.com.

Step 3 – Send a message to JanAstner [at] gmail . com informing us about sending the work back and  attach a copy of the proof of posting.

Step 4 – Once the work arrives safely at JanAstner.com, we will process your return and refund the amount due to your original source of payment in the same currency as the original order within 10 business days of receiving the work.

Procedure in case the the work or/and the packaging get damaged

JanAstner.com is sending works in flat, tightly packed boxes, reinforced with fibreboard. Large works are sent in boxes reinforced with wooden grates. The packaging contains materials stabilizing the work during delivery and protecting it from damage. If the packaging or/and work get damaged, follow the instructions below:

Step 1 – When you notice a damage upon delivery, take photos of the damaged packaging and the damaged work in the presence of the person who delivered it. Make a direct complaint to the deliverer.

Step 2 – Within seven (3) days from the date of delivery of the damaged item, send photos to JanAstner [at] gmail . com. Attach order details to the message.

Step 3 – An JanAstner.com representative will contact you to discuss the next steps.

Costs of sending the work back to JanAstner.com

We analyze all returns to determine who is responsible for covering the cost of returning the work to JanAstner.com.

We strive to ensure that the work is thoroughly described on the JanAstner.com website (in terms of size, materials used, etc.). We try to optimally reproduce the colors of the originals, but we know that the computer monitor does not accurately reproduce all the features of the texture, structure and color of the work. We strive to ensure that the work is securely packaged. When packing the work, before handing it over to the deliverer, we make a detailed photographic documentation of it.

In case the Collector decides to return the artwork because: it differs from the description on the JanAstner.com website, it has defects not included in the photos reproduced on the JanAstner.com website or it was damaged due to poor packaging,  JanAstner.com covers the costs of the return.

If the work is returned for other reasons, the Collector covers all costs of sending the work back. JanAstner.com refunds only the amount for which the artwork was purchased. Shipping costs are not refunded to the buyer. Please note that for international returns, buyers may be subject to additional mandatory fees.

We strive to avoid returns. Therefore, in case of any doubts during the process of acquiring an artwork, we recommend contacting us at JanAstner [at] gmail . com. Upon request, before the finalization of the purchase, we will provide all necessary information, so the Buyer can make the right decision.
